Dan Brown with a new mystery: He released a photo from a mysterious location

Writer Dan Brown likes to provoke his fans on Facebook.

The author of „Leonardo’s Cipher“ often releases cryptic questions and places.

Its readers are highly intelligent people and usually quickly guess the answer.

The other day he released an exclusive shot and asked: Where in the world?

Hundreds of responses immediately appeared:

My city: Budapest and the Basilica

most polluted and dirtiest city in all of CEE, plus there are very green spaces on the Pest side. No offense but I think the City Administrative should solve those problems first before trying to attract so many expats and tourists.

Best city in the world! Budapest!

Never been there, but it looks like a good place to visit.

That should be budapest, I traveled there some years ago and found the most perfect accommodation with a perfect view of st. Stephen’s basilica, I fell in love with buapest

That’s beautiful Budapest and the St. Stephen’s Basilica. this picture makes me feel homesick.

The basilica in Budapest is officially called St. Stephen’s Basilica and is dedicated to the first king of Hungary, whose mummified right hand is kept in the church. It is the largest church in the city and can accommodate up to 8,500 people.
The basilica was built in the Neo-Renaissance style and has a high dome, which is equal in height to the Parliament of Budapest – 96 meters.
From the dome there is a wonderful panoramic view of the city, which can be reached by stairs or an elevator.

The basilica also has two bell towers, the southern one being the largest in Hungary. In the interior of the church you can see richly decorated altars, frescoes, mosaics and paintings by famous artists.
The basilica is open for visits every day, but you should check its opening hours in advance. Entrance is free, but you are expected to leave a voluntary donation for the upkeep of the temple.
The basilica also hosts various classical music concerts, which you can attend with a pre-purchased ticket. If you want to learn more about the history and architecture of the basilica, you can join a guided tour.
