Yesterday the world lost one of its greatest talents.
God took the legend Harry Belafonte.
Millions of people around the world mourn the great star of our time.
„This man was truly one of my role models…. Intelligence, class, grace, activist – Hero! I just want to say that I’m humbled by how you used your light to help brighten a path for us all. Your soul has returned to the creator but what you’ve left on earth will live with us forever. Thank you and thank you again.

Harry Belafonte was born in 1927 in New York.

Known as a singer and actor, he is a fighter for the civil rights of African Americans in America. He began his career as a singer in nightclubs in New York, taking acting classes in the meantime. He recorded many records of music in the calypso style characteristic of the Caribbean islands. His album „Calypso“ (1956) held the top spot on the Billboard 200 for 31 weeks and was the first in history to sell over a million copies. He has participated in musical films.

At the beginning of the 21st century, the legendary musician, who paved the way for blacks in show business, appeared as a merciless critic of George Walker Bush and his advisers. During Belafonte and Danny Glover’s meeting with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez (2006) He is a member of the Democratic Party, Belafonte calls George W. Bush „the world’s greatest terrorist“
