Tribute: Miami mourns Officer Pablo DelToro

Sad news was announced by the police in Miami.

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of retired MDPD Officer Pablo DelToro. We offer our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time., the Miami-Dade Police Department announced.

Retired MDPD Officer Pablo Del Toro

August 18, 1972 – May 30, 2023

Director Alfredo „Freddy“ Ramirez regrets to inform you that Retired Miami-Dade Police Department

Officer Pablo Del Toro, 50, who recently retired after 29-years of service, passed away on Tuesday, May

30, 2023, after a long, courageous battle with liver disease. Officer Del Toro began his career as a

Public Service Aide in 1993 and was assigned to the Midwest District and then to the Police Operations

Bureau. In 1995, he was promoted to Police Officer Trainee and later graduated from BLE #180, as a

police officer. His assignments included the Midwest District, Hammocks District (GIU and Traffic Squad),

City of Doral, Seaport, and finally the Police Operations Section.

He is survived by his two beautiful children; Isabella, 18-years-old; and Brandon, 20-years-old. At the

at the time of his passing, Pablo was surrounded by his immediate family and very close friends.

First and foremost, Pablo was a father.

He enjoyed cooking traditional „Cuban“ family meals for him

children, enjoyed music from his favorite pop star, „Michael Jackson,“ and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys

fan. Pablo was an amazing friend to many.

His children, Isabella and Brandon, would like to take this opportunity to thank his fellow brothers and

sisters within the Miami-Dade Police Department for taking such great care of their Dad during his 29

years of service.
