A submariner explained the reasons for the death of the „Titan“ and made a connection with Putin’s „Kursk“

The five people aboard the missing Titan submarine have died. This was confirmed by the US Coast Guard and indicated the cause of the tragedy – an implosion of the bathyscaphe.

„The implosion is a consequence of the high pressure. Below we have nearly 40 atmospheres of pressure. It is impossible to say the exact reason, there was talk of running out of air, which is also very likely. It was an implosion from which there is no escape,“ commented the underwater expert sports Plamen Vukadinov on the air of „Bg morning“.

He told Bg ON AIR that even if the crew leaves the bathyscaphe, the depth is too great.

„Let’s admit it, but so what. They don’t have a chance. Everyone takes a risk for themselves, but there’s no guarantee that the end will be good at these meters and unknown,“ the underwater sports expert pointed out.

Vukadinov also commented on the knocking sounds that were heard at intervals of 30 minutes.

„It is not known whether it was one of them, but it is assumed that it was them. It was the same with the Russian submarine Kursk. This is the right thing to do in such cases. People show that they are alive, but it cannot be an exact location was determined,“ explained the expert.

According to Vukadinov, the plan for success had been doomed for two days. „The attempts were doomed from that day,“ he pointed out.

Ocean Gate issued a statement:

We now believe that our CEO Stockton Rush, Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, Hamish Harding, and Paul-Henri Nargeolet, have sadly been lost.

These men were true explorers who shared a distinct spirit of adventure, and a deep passion for exploring and protecting the world’s oceans. Our hearts are with these five souls and every member of their families during this tragic time.

We grieve the loss of life and joy they brought to everyone they knew.

This is an extremely sad time for our dedicated employees who are exhausted and grieving deeply over this loss.

The entire OceanGate family is deeply grateful for the countless men and women from multiple organizations of the international community who expedited wide-ranging resources and have worked so very hard on this mission.

We appreciate their commitment to finding these five explorers, and their days and nights of tireless work in support of our crew and their families.
This is a very sad time for the entire explorer community, and for each of the family members of those lost at sea.

We respectfully ask that the privacy of these families be respected during this most painful time.

Oxygen ran out on board the submarine „Titan“: 2 versions of the fate of people

The oxygen on board the Titan submarine ran out just minutes ago at exactly 12:18pm UK time.

Chances of anyone surviving are slim to none.

What are the possible scenarios for the disappearance of the „Titan“ submarine, commented Anton Krastev, a chemical engineer and diver at the Institute of Oceanology in Varna, in „The Day Begins“ on BNT.

According to him, the accident was most likely caused by a loss of electrical power, less likely it was a broken hull of the submarine.

„The risks involved in launching such vessels are many. We can only guess, but basically two things could have happened – the submarine lost power or the hull was destroyed.

In case of loss of electrical power, each submarine of this type is equipped with a life support system capable of sustaining life for a certain period of time.

In case of a breach in the hull – it is unlikely that another body will be encountered in this place – there are almost no vessels that can reach such a depth, not even marine life, so the probability of the hull being breached is small.

„It is also unlikely that the submarine became entangled in the wreckage of the Titanic, as the loss of contact with it was much earlier than the time it took to reach the sunken ship,“ he said.

Anton Krastev suggests that the oxygen can last longer if those in the submarine act sensibly.

„If they don’t move around a lot, if they don’t talk to each other a lot, they will use less oxygen,“ he said.

The Institute of Oceanology in Varna has its own research submarine, which can accommodate up to three people and dive to a height of 250 meters.

Contact with the submersible, called the Titan, was lost on Sunday while it was about 700km south of St John’s on the Canadian island of Newfoundland, while sailing to the wreck site.

On board the „Titan“ there are five people, including the British billionaire and adventurer Hamish Harding. Yesterday, the US Coast Guard estimated that the 20-foot-long bathyscaphe had only 40 hours of oxygen left. Besides him, on board are the Pakistani Shahzada Dawood, his son Suleiman and Stockton Rush, CEO and founder of the company „Ocean Gate“, which organized the expedition. They are accompanied by French submariner Paul-Henri Narjolet.
