Over 3,500 people filled the hall in the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna – Bulgaria.

The legend Michael Flatley joined in with an up-to-date recording to greet the participants and viewers of Lords of the Dance in Varna, Bulgaria.

The 64-year-old great dancer looked great.

Flatley underwent surgery for an aggressive form of cancer in January 2023. This was announced on his official Instagram account on January 12, 2023. He is under medical supervision and is being cared for by an excellent team of doctors

Over 3500 people watched live the greatest dance show of all time LORD OF THE DANCE.

The greatest dance show in the world – LORD OF THE DANCE arrived in Bulgaria for two jubilee performances dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the creation of Michael Flatley’s original performance.

Over 40 magnificent dancers delighted the Bulgarian fans of the world-famous troupe as part of their new European tour.

LORD OF THE DANCE showed us their brand new, incredible show – with new costumes and choreography, with avant-garde lighting and special effects.

The show features 40 of the world’s most outstanding young acts, directed by the iconic Michael Flatley and featuring new music by composer Gerard Fahey.

Impressive, glamorous and captivating, it combined the best of tradition with all the excitement of new music and dance.

Varna was the first stop of the tour.

The next one is tomorrow, May 23, 2023, in Sofia, in hall 1 of the NDK.

Michael Flatley is an Irish-American dancer who has created and performed in Irish dance shows such as Riverdance, Lord of the Dance, Feet of Flames and Celtic Tiger Live.

He was born on July 16, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois.

Flatley is a former world Irish dance champion and holds the record for the fastest tap dance at 35 steps per second.

In 2023, he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and underwent surgery.

Michael Flatley lives in Castlehide, a castle in County Cork, Ireland. He bought it in 1999 and restored it. He also has other properties in London, France and Barbados.

 

Lords of the Dance is an Irish music and dance show that was created, choreographed and produced by Irish-American dancer Michael Flatley, who also stars.

The music for the show was written by Ronan Hardiman. The show follows the idea of a traditional English carol, Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day, which tells the gospel story in the first person voice of Jesus of Nazareth with the device of portraying the life and mission of Jesus as a dance.
The show is known for its high-energy Irish dance performances, original music, storytelling and sensuality.
