There are people who give their lives so that we can live peacefully in Miami.

Miami police awarded three of them.

Officers Lizeth Ardila, Emmanuel Ofei and Johnathan Sosa have been awarded the Honorable Service Ribbon for their outstanding police work in taking a shooting subject off the streets within 24 hours of committing the crime, Miami Beach PD announced.

Officer Peter Carballo earned a Letter of Commendation for his contribution to the investigation. We are proud of all four officers for their solid police work. Our community is safer with such a well-trained and dedicated group of officers. Thank you for all you do!

Without these people we will never feel safe on the streets of Miami.
