Musician and actor Johnny Depp was due to play with his band Hollywood Vampires in Budapest last night, but the gig was canceled after he collapsed in his hotel room. He was given medical attention and the band didn’t even get on stage.

The arena they were supposed to play in was already full of fans, it was reported at the last minute. Team members have even done the sound setup, which is scheduled for the afternoon, one of the organizers was quoted as saying by Spanish newspaper Marca.

This is not the first time the group has faced difficulties.

In May, Johnny injured his ankle, after which several of his concerts in America were canceled. Fortunately for his Bulgarian fans, the concert in the „Arena Sofia“ hall on June 12 took place. 8,000 people jammed with the famous actor, Alice Cooper and guitarist Joe Perry, who performed mostly covers of golden rock songs.

Johnny Depp’s first appearance on Bulgarian soil was not related to a film, but to a concert. And it can be safely said that the presence of the movie star was the reason why more than 8,000 people gathered in the Arena Sofia hall for the show of the supergroup Hollywood Vampires, recalls segabg.com.

Many speculate that the famous actor is currently going through a difficult period. The cause of his seizure was not given.

Hollywood Vampires was created back in 2012, but the Pirates of the Caribbean star turned more actively to his hobbies of painting and music after legal battles with his ex-wife Amber Heard effectively put his acting career on hold. Hollywood „cancelled“ him because of the allegations of domestic violence, he won the case, but has not yet been rehabilitated in his native USA. However, a film with his participation was still shot – the French „Jeanne du Barry“. It opened the festival in Cannes in May, and in our country it will be shown at „Love is Madness“ in Varna in August.
