Derek Hough celebrated his 38th birthday on May 17.

Derek is engaged to Hayley Erbert, who is also a dancer. They started dating in 2015 and got engaged in June 2022.

The day before his birthday, Derek released an extraordinary video on Facebook.

He lies as if sick in bed and becomes depressed.

Ted arrives and inspires him to stand up.

He has to give him a few wake-up slaps.

And then Derek gets up and goes to work.

The clip shows Derek getting ready for the Symphony of Dance tour in the fall of 2023.
