Scott Adkins mourns Sensei Shihan Fumio Demura

Movie buffs can’t imagine how amazing a man Scott Adkins is.
The 46-year-old British actor doesn’t just look great.
He has the heart and spirit of a real man.

Adkins is known for his role as Yuri Boyka in the film The Favorite 2, but he has starred in many other famous films such as Ninja, The Tournament, Universal Soldier 4.

He wrote a sad message on the web.
One of his closest friends and teachers has died:

„R.I.P. Sensei, Shihan Fumio Demura. I had the pleasure to work with him on Ninja in 2008. A phenomenal Karate practitioner and wonderful man.“

Fumio Demura was born on September 15, 1938.

He was one of Japan’s most famous masters of karate and the traditional weapon of kobudo. He was Pat Morita’s martial arts stunt double in the first, third and fourth Karate Kid films. Demura holds the rank of 9th dan in Shitō-ryū karate.

Sad comments are raining under his post:

Sad. I got to meet him in 2019. I remember him from Ninja. One of my favorites, he is a legend. RIP.

So sad to hear this news. I was fortunate to attend a seminar of his over a weekend back in 2018. At the end of the first night, many of us attended a dinner with him at a local restaurant, and I was able to sit near him. I can’t remember how, maybe martial arts in Hollywood, but you came up in conversation. He spoke highly of you
