The court in Moscow sentenced the former director of the holding „Sobchak“ Kiril Sukhanov.

He was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison, MSK1.RU correspondent reports from the courtroom.

Arian Romanovsky and Tamerlan Bigaev were also convicted – they were sent to prison for 7 years.

Members of Ksenia Sobchak’s team were found guilty of extortion for 11 million rubles from the head of Rostec Sergey Chemezov – according to the court, the journalists asked for money for not disseminating information discrediting him.

Kirill Sukhanov was detained in October 2022 when receiving 800 thousand rubles from employees of Sergey Chemezov.

Ksenia Sobchak commented on the court decision.

– Speechless. This is not just injustice. That is a lot. I did everything, all the arrangements, so that there would be mitigation. Why are you ruining people’s lives? Why 7.5 years? Why such a disparity? Just to get revenge? Ksenia Sobchak wrote in the Telegram channel.

Ksenia Sobchak’s commercial director Kirill Sukhanov was detained in Moscow on October 25.

He, as well as the former editor-in-chief of Tatler magazine Adrian Romanovsky, became defendants in the case of extorting 11 million rubles from the head of Rostec Sergey Chemezov.
