The saga began on Friday in Abu Dhabi, from where the plane took off nearly three hours late.
This led to the impossibility of passengers arriving in the capital due to a plan to repair the airport.
According to eyewitnesses, the airline operating the flight knew that landing in Sofia would not be allowed. However, without warning, they put everyone on the plane. Just 15 minutes before landing in Varna, the pilot announced that they would land at the wrong airport.
„Five buses were ordered to take all of us from Varna airport to Sofia. This meant that a large part of us would not be able to go to work or fulfill our commitments,“ said one of the women who refused to get off the bus. the plane.
The airline did not want to cooperate and called „Border Police“ teams to the spot, who threatened the passengers that they would handcuff them.
„They gave us 10 minutes to think about whether to get off voluntarily or to be arrested, including the children,“ explained the disgruntled passengers.
According to the steward, the people had to leave the plane so that their transport could be arranged.
„Why do we, who pay your salaries, have to now ride the bus, cancel all the commitments we have, and you, the people we pay, have to fly home?“ the passengers asked the pilot.
In response to the question, he stated: „There are not enough crew to carry you legally. I am also negotiating with the company. I have reported that you refuse to get off.“
The airline’s customers described the incident as „bullshit“.
