Rudy Farias is a young man who was reported missing in 2015 in Houston, Texas.
He was last seen walking his dogs in a northeast Houston neighborhood. The dogs went home on their own and Rudy was nowhere to be found.
Eight years later, on July 3, 2023, Rudy was found alive and unconscious outside a church.
He had cuts and bruises on his body and was taken to hospital.
The Texas Center for Missing Persons reported that Rudy is recovering. Rudy’s mother said he hasn’t been talking much and that he has a long road to a full recovery.
She expressed her gratitude to everyone who helped find Rudy.
His mother, Gianni Santana, said in a separate statement that he is unable to communicate at this time.
“My son Rudy Farias IV was found on Thursday June 29th after being missing for 8 years. We do not have any additional information regarding Rudy’s case at this time,“ the statement from Santana’s family read in part.
„What we do know is that during his recovery, a good Samaritan found him unresponsive and immediately called the police and 911. My son Rudy is getting the care he needs to overcome his trauma, but in this moment he is non-verbal and unable to communicate with us. We ask for privacy at this difficult time, but will share more details as Rudy continues to heal.
