The DSL (Dire Straits Legacy) project brings together original musicians from different phases of the career of British rock band Dire Straits. They welcomed their fans in Bulgaria at a concert in the NDK.
Phil Palmer, Marco Caviglia and Alan Clark arrived on Sunday in Sofia. Before that, they were in Poland, where they shared that it felt like the audience adored them.
“Dire Straits’ music, the songs, are in people’s memories. They bring back memories from their childhood, we’re playing them now in the original,“ guitarist Phil Palmer said on This Morning.
The musicians added that three generations listen to their songs and buy their records.
People are impressed by the organic quality of the band – that we play naturally on stage. There are no machines – what you see comes from us,“ they also commented.
We got together for fun and still do for fun. We love music. We never get tired of playing what we’ve created,“ the musicians shared.
They revealed that Marco Caviglia was bringing the band together with an invitation to play in a mountain in northern Italy. The event is to open the ski season. Dire Straits Legacy currently features four of the band’s original line-up.
