Candice Smith is back in NBC 12 2 months after giving birth to a baby

The news that top journalist Anthony Antoine is leaving television saddened NBC 12 viewers.
At the same time, however, there is another news for them – wonderful.
One of the most beloved hosts Candice Smith is back at work.
She was on maternity leave for about 2 months.

Here’s what Candace Smith wrote:

This mom is headed back to work this week 😩 I really enjoyed being able to disconnect and spend time with my family. It’s going to be so hard leaving her but I’m excited to be back with my team, NBC12 family and viewers! See you guys THIS Friday morning starting at 4:30am 😊❤️ (please share any advice/tips to make this transition back to work easier 🥺)

Candace Smith gave birth to a baby girl in mid-February and is now back at work.

Comments are pouring in under her post:

I know the feeling all too well. When my maternity leave was ending, I sent my little one to daycare a few days early so I could (A) get used to the morning routine, (B) get used to being without my little one around constantly and (C) get all my tears and jitters out so I wouldn’t ruin my makeup on my first workday 🙃. It’s a transition, indeed! But with an excellent village of support, prayer, and faith, the days will get easier. You will still miss your little one when you are apart from each other, but it will get easier. Then you will blink and your little one will be running into school without looking back or waiting for a hug or kiss and then that will bring another level of mixed emotions. 😩 But YOU’VE got this, Mama!

It’s hard, but you already have lots of good advice. You’re not alone! Lean on Sarah Bloom NBC12…she knows the mixed bag of feelings that go along with this transition…she’s got ya!

Awwww, I can only imagine how you feel leaving the precious baby. Cherish EVERY minute you are with her. You are an amazing woman, not a robot, so take time to breathe, rest and enjoy life, we can’t do everything. Oh, And get a good housekeeper to come in and clean for you.
