Airbnb is facing serious trouble after hidden cameras were discovered in bathrooms and bedrooms

One of the world’s largest home and room rental platforms, Airbnb, is facing a tough test.

Scandals have always been a part of this kind of business because of the different regulations around the world.
This time, however, public opinion has been scandalized by revelations that many homeowners are installing hidden cameras in bedrooms and bathrooms.
Thousands of visitors are shocked that they may have been recorded.
The footage can be used for all kinds of purposes and this is practically a crime.
The company doesn’t take a serious stance to take at least some kind of attitude.
This naturally led to a sharp crash in the shares.
In just one day last week, the stock tumbled 6 percent.

Reports of other troubles are common.

In many cases, clients have come across unfriendly landlords, huge discrepancies between photos and reality they find on site.
It also happened that guests were surprised by sudden cleaning without warning, cancellation of reservations and other extremely unpleasant incidents.

Airbnb is stubbornly silent on these issues.

The San Francisco company is steady despite the stock crash. Profits increased by 40% in 1 year to almost 2 billion dollars.

With the end of the pandemic, the paraza is going up. Overnight stays are increasing by around 20% per year, but the company is facing sanctions in various countries because of the irregularities found.

The company brags about the huge taxes they pay.
„To date, we have collected and remitted over $7 billion in tourism taxes worldwide.
In the US, we collected and remitted more than $1.9 billion in tourism taxes in 2022 – an increase of approximately 27 percent over 2021.
In Canada, we collected and remitted over C$177 million in tourism taxes in 2022, including almost C$70 million in federal taxes,“ it said.
