A woman gave birth to twins in two different places
A woman gave birth to twins in two different places in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
The news was announced by the Saint George University Hospital for Active Treatment in Plovdiv.
The young woman went into labor at Filipovo station, where the first baby appeared in the family car.
Immediately after that, the mother was rushed to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic at St. George UMBAL, where the operation for the appearance of the second twin was successfully completed. Mother and baby are doing well.
The operative intervention was performed by the head of the clinic Prof. Dr. Ekaterina Uchikova, together with Dr. Maria Vasileva, Dr. Krum Vladov, Dr. Lyubomira Koteva, anesthesiologist Dr. Boris Georgiev, neonatologist Dr. Raina Stoyanova and other doctors involved in the team.
Prof. Uchikova shares that the situation was complicated and there was a real threat to the life of the second twin due to the emergency obstetric situation.
