A very strong earthquake measuring 7.4 on the Richter scale has struck Alaska, USA

A magnitude 7.4 earthquake shook the Alaska Peninsula early this morning, the US Geological Survey said.

All world agencies are broadcasting about the earthquake.

Several aftershocks followed. One of them with a magnitude of 5.7 on the Richter scale.

A tsunami warning was issued after the earthquake, which was at a depth of 9.3 kilometers.
