On March 22, Russian Channel One commentator Viktor Gusev, along with his wife, friend and son, was at Crocus City Hall when armed terrorists stormed the concert hall. A few hours after the tragedy, the commentator got in touch and shared an emotional message.
And today, Gusev publishes personal photos taken on that fateful evening. In the footage, you can see the sincere reaction of Victor and his relatives in the first moments, when the joy of the upcoming concert gave way to confusion, and then to horror.

„Sofia Mayer saved us. A short, dark-haired Crocus employee first helped block the doors of all the boxes, which we had already begun to barricade with furniture to keep out the terrorists. And then, saying, „Follow me!“, she led us out of the narrow corridor through the smoke, under the crackle of gunfire, down the stairs to the street, the only way to salvation.
Gusev said that Sergey Svetlakov, who was also among the guests of the Picnic group invited to the concert, managed to find Sofia’s name. Earlier, the comedian spoke in detail about what he had to endure.
Victor also posted a photo of a woman’s foot print – according to the commenter, women take off their high-heeled shoes to „escape hell faster“. „We got out, we’re all right in the end, but…“ the commentator finished his story.
