A Russian military transport plane with 15 people on board has crashed after one of its engines caught fire in the Ivanovo region. This was announced by the Russian Ministry of Defense, without specifying whether there were survivors, Nova quoted.

According to the information, the Il-76 machine crashed in the Ivanovo region while taking off with 8 crew members and 7 passengers.

The Defense Ministry said the crash was caused by a fire in one of the engines during takeoff. The army is trying to establish the exact causes.
