An interesting post dedicated to the virtual currency Bitcoin sparked the interest of many on Facebook.

Its author is Hamstera, an unconventional influencer from Bulgaria who has tens of thousands of followers.

He has consistently presented himself as a staunch fan of cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin in particular. A few days ago he wrote the following for those who still do not understand the point of the existence of virtual money:

“I went shopping in Kaufland with bitcoins. Turns out they don’t accept and I can’t buy bread with bitcoins…

Then I tried to pay with gold coins – and it doesn’t work with them…

What’s the bottom line – not being able to buy bread in Kaufland with bitcoins is not a problem.

Bitcoin is not a payment currency (although it is in El Salvador) – it is a financial instrument for saving – just like gold.

Unlike gold, it is technically much easier to use bitcoin for payments as well.”

The thoughts and passions of the Hamster regarding the cryptocurrency caused a discussion, which shows the level of understanding for them among most Bulgarians.

Most are of the opinion that they are basically some kind of fraud and a means only for speculation.

Still others haughtily mock the more conservative commentators, claiming that they have no understanding of Bitcoin and its behavior in the stock markets.
