A 45-year-old woman from Sofia, Bulgaria was beaten by the man with whom she lives and his neighbor. The case is from June 24 and ends fatally. The woman died in the hospital without regaining consciousness. The relationship between the abuser and the victim began after meeting on social networks and lasted only about two months.

June 24, late afternoon. Gabriela goes to pick up her mother Hristinka from the home of the man with whom the 45-year-old woman has recently been living.

Despite the shock of what she saw, Gabriela first called the police, BNT reported.

„The two are accused of complicity. Namely, for having made an attempt to intentionally cause the death of the victim, by hitting them with their hands and with a metal box,“ said Desislava Petrova, deputy. city prosecutor of Sofia.

Rosen was detained immediately, and hours later the handcuffs were also snapped on Nikolay’s hands. The investigators established that the two of them together beat Hristinka, causing her a severe brain injury with a series of strong blows to the head and face. Already on the evening of June 24, the doctors in „Pirogov“ urgently operated on the 45-year-old woman and continued to fight for her life for days.

The relationship between Hristinka and Rosen Kosev began at the end of February, after meeting in a Facebook group.

Mariana Gugalova, a friend of the victim: „It was surprising to me that she went to live with him. The first thing that worried me was that about a month and a half into their relationship, he made her quit her job because he was making enough money to support her.“

However, it turns out that this is a common trap that abusers lure victims into in order to gain complete control over them.

Hristinka did not even suspect that Rosen Kosev had a rich criminal record. He was convicted a total of five times. For theft as a minor, then for driving under the influence of alcohol, for robbery and for illegal possession of a weapon. The investigators have established that on the fateful June 24, before calling her daughter, Kosev carefully cleaned the entire apartment.

Gabriela Manolova, daughter of the victim: „Everything was cleaned. Everything. There was no blood, there was no – because there is, I was told that he had three or four knocked out teeth, we did not see blood anywhere. Only in the bathroom on the siphon downstairs.“

However, the investigators managed to gather evidence. And in the apartment of the second detainee, Nikolay Davidkov, the boxing with which some of the blows were inflicted on Hristinka was also found. The forensic examination of the woman’s death is about to be released, so that Kosev and Davidkov can be charged with the more serious charges of intentional murder. The two are in custody following decisions of the Sofia City Court and the Sofia Court of Appeal.
