Ramzan Kadyrov appeared with trembling hands: I don’t want to live long

After persistent rumors about the deteriorating state of health of the Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, whose motorcade could not be seen in Chechnya for days, and Kadyrov himself did not appear publicly anywhere – neither at Putin’s meeting with the leaders of the North Caucasian republics, nor on Kurban Bayram , Kadyrov finally published a video, but it only fueled new questions, Aktualno reported.

In the roughly 40-second video, Kadyrov sits at a table set for breakfast with State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov and says that life is interesting when it is short.

It is noticeable that Kadyrov speaks out of breath, and his hand is shaking.

Here’s what he says: „We live, we live slowly. Life is interesting when it’s short. We don’t want to live long anyway. We’ll live short, but with dignity.“

On July 1, the Chechen oppositionist Tumso Abdurakhmanov, known under the pseudonym Abu-Saddam Shishani, wrote that Kadyrov’s kidney disease had worsened, and a day ago his son Adam posted on Instagram a photo with Kadyrov, under which he praised him and prayed to God to protect him .

According to the publication, the head of the southern Russian autonomous republic has not appeared in public for a long time.

„Kadyrov is known for his appearances on social networks, but he has not made a single post for almost two weeks. The leader of Chechnya did not even congratulate Muslims on Kurban Bayram,“ added UNIAN.

„Two days ago, the son of Ramzan Kadyrov – Adam Kadyrov – published a post in a closed group on a Russian social network that he was praying for his father,“ the media also pointed out.

Chechen oppositionist Tumso Abdurakhmanov, also known as Abu Saddam Shishani, said yesterday that the leader of the republic is between life and death. „Apparently dialysis is no longer helping him,“ he said, quoted by Serbian radio B92.

As is known, Ramzan almost died in the spring of 2020 when he suffered severe complications from the coronavirus and was taken to an intensive care unit in Moscow. His health remained seriously shaken, in the last few months Kadyrov has put on a lot of weight, he looks bloated, and in the videos in which he appears, he is often unable to open his eyes.

According to some reports, the cause of Kadyrov’s illness was poisoning, which may have occurred as a result of political intrigue and the struggle for power in the region. At the same time, other sources claim that the head of Chechnya suffers from chronic kidney disease and his condition has worsened due to the long-term use of heavy drugs.
