Leopard escaped from the Zoo in Bulgaria, people are being evacuated
Emergency situation at the zoo in Stara Zagora in Bulgaria.
Visitors were evacuated because of a leopard that escaped from its cage. The escape was discovered around 10:30 a.m.
The zoo team immediately helped to get the visitors out, some were taken away in cars for faster evacuation.
„The leopard ran ahead of us down the lane and slipped into the forest,“ said one visitor.
The zoo warned people to avoid the territory of the Ayazmoto Park.
The visitors were offered to reconfirm their tickets for the next visit.
Later it became clear that there were two escaped leopards.
The unit is already put to sleep, the other is located on the territory of the zoo.
It is not known how the events will develop.
In 2014, 9-year-old jaguar Alonso escaped from the zoo in Lovech in Bulgaria.
He was shot by a hunter.
