Russian official calls people from flooded areas: „Clowns who have achieved nothing in life“

A senior official from Omsk, Russia, Stepan Ogorelkov, was dismissed from his post in the governor’s office.
This was stated by the publication Gorod55 with reference to Anna Marukhina, the deputy chairman of the regional government of the Omsk region.
Earlier, Stepan Ogorelkov called the residents of the area affected by the flood „clowns who have not achieved anything“.
Photographer Kristina Vasilieva, along with residents of Ust-Ishim, then created a petition calling for an investigation.
