The social network „Facebook“ has crashed, users from all over the world are complaining. The problem mainly affected the desktop version and lasted about an hour, and when trying to open the site through a browser, a white screen was displayed.

The outage affected countries on different continents, judging by the huge number of complaints on other social networks.

That the problem is global is evidenced by users from all over the world – USA, Australia, India and Thailand – on „X“ (formerly Twitter). The social network did not open in Bulgaria either.

The problems appeared in the early afternoon, with more than 2,000 alerts received on the Down Detector site within minutes.

Most (90%) of DownDetector’s complaints are from people trying to use the website, while 7% are from those trying to „upload“. It is not yet known what caused the problems or when they will be fixed.

On October 4, 2021, Facebook and its sister apps Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp experienced a major outage that lasted seven hours and 11 minutes.
