„The fact that they were in a ‘marital’ relationship can be established by the court if a man and a woman have lived together for at least three years, or at least one year if they have a common child and have a common household,“ the document says .

In its decision on the recognition of marital relations, the court will have to indicate the moment of their occurrence. Amendments are proposed to the federal law „On the entry into force of part three of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation“.
