Woman from Ashkelon: Terrorists forcibly remove entire families with children and send them to the Gaza Strip

Our army responds to the Hamas attack. This is pure terrorism. On a calm, restful, holiday day, we were attacked. Innocent people were killed, young people who were celebrating.

It’s hard for me to speak. This is what a Bulgarian woman, who has been living in Israel for years, told „Your Day“ on the phone.

She works at the hospital in Ashkelon, 10 km from the Gaza Strip. The woman requested anonymity for security reasons.

„When the attack started, we were at home. They started shelling with rockets, we are used to it, we have protected rooms.

Whoever is not in his home, there are protected places on the streets. We realized that something was happening when the rockets fell one after another.

We learned very quickly „that terrorists have entered our territory and are attacking and taking people out of the protected areas.

Elderly people, children, babies, whole families have been sent to the Gaza Strip and it is not known where they are,“ she said.

According to her, the hospital works around the clock and continuously helps those in need.

„We work normally for a war situation. Our hospital is of strategic importance, it is protected and is located on the -2nd floor. In a few minutes, all medical facilities are brought to the protected places, we have electricity and water. We are working at full speed, we are the first help. We have doctors of international rank,“ said the Bulgarian.
