OceanGate Expeditions with an emergency announcement about the missing submarine and billionaire Hamish Harding

OceanGate Expeditions reported:

„We are exploring and mobilizing all options to bring the crew back safely.
Our entire focus is on the crew members in the submersible and their families. We are deeply grateful for the extensive assistance we have received from several governments
agencies and deep sea companies in our efforts to reestablish contact with the submersible.
We are working towards the safe return of the crew members.“

The company is located in Everett, WA, United States, Washington.

The company organizes tourist submarine descents to the Titanic from 2021. The American company OceanGate offers commercial diving expeditions to the sunken ship. Tourists share the submarine with marine explorers. But the tickets are not cheap.
Six descents took place in 2021, with each ticket costing $125,000 (around £90,000).
Visitors get a private cabin on the eight-day voyage from Canada to the shipwreck site. During the descent, they have the opportunity to pilot a five-seater submarine as they make the 90-minute descent to the shipwreck.

On board the submarine is the 58-year-old billionaire Hamish Hardin.

„My biggest fear is knowing that they are trapped without being able to get help,“ Janike Mikkelsen said. She is a Norwegian researcher and close friend of Hamish.

„There is no one to reach them at the bottom,“ she points out.

On board the submarine there is oxygen for 100 hours.

The submarine began its descent on Sunday at 4 o’clock in the morning.

A short time later it lost contact with the surface.

Hamish Hardin (born 24 June 1964) is a British businessman, pilot, tourist and space tourist based in the UAE. He is the founder of Action Group and chairman of Action Aviation, an international aircraft brokerage company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

As an explorer and space tourist, he holds four Guinness World Records, including the fastest circumnavigation of the Earth by plane, crossing both poles, and „the longest time spent in the deepest part of the ocean in a single dive.“

Last June, he was one of five people to fly aboard Blue Origin’s fifth manned space flight.
