God bless you Marty McFly, you are a strong man

One of America’s and the world’s favorite actors, Michael J. Fox, made a disturbing message on CBS.

The 62-year-old actor, who played the legendary role of Marti McFly in Back to the Future, has said he will not live to be 80.

His words sound pessimistic.

„My life is set up in such a way… that I can carry Parkinson’s with me if I have to“

„One does not die from Parkinson’s disease. You die with Parkinson’s disease… I thought about the mortality of this… I’m not going to be 80. I’m not going to be 80.”

Michael J. Fox suffers from Parkinson’s disease, which is a neurodegenerative disease that affects the dopamine-producing neurons in the brain.
He revealed his diagnosis in 1998 after receiving it in 1991 when he was just 29 years old. Parkinson’s disease causes symptoms such as tremors, stiffness of the limbs, problems with balance and walking, slowness of movement and sleep problems.
There is no known cure for the disease, but Michael J. Fox has become an advocate for finding one and founded the Michael J. Fox Foundation in 2000 to help fund research.

Comments are pouring in under his words:

Keep the faith you will make it to 80

God bless you Marty McFly, you are a strong man

I don’t have parkinson’s, but I’m an RN and have had many patients with it. It is a very cruel and debilitating disease. Even the meds that treat it have difficult side effects. I feel for the guy.

It’s sad seeing people suffer with these diseases. There has to be a lot of credit given to his wife as well. They met each other in 1986 and she stayed with him through all the struggles. Hollywood marriages very rarely last long, even with 2 very healthy people, let alone one of them having such a debilitating and difficult disease and she has stayed with him. It’s nice that he wasn’t abandoned during these years of struggle. I know he is the one with Parkinson’s but she is also struggling. She is a wonderful person.
