A man from the Gaza border: Volunteers were the first to stand in the way of terrorists
Bulgarian Ivaylo Panchev from a border kibbutz with Gaza told bTV that in their agricultural commune in Israel there is one dead, two wounded and one missing.
He could hardly contain his emotions of horror.
About 400 people and their children are part of the kibbutz. They had to hide in a bomb shelter yesterday after an attack alert.
„We received a message that maybe terrorists have entered the kibbutz and that we should barricade and lock down. Our biggest fear is that something could happen to us,“ the man said.
He explained that an evacuation was underway, and the Israeli army was already in the settlement.
„They will probably take us out of the zone with armored buses and no one will be able to return. This will become a war zone. We will be accommodated in a hotel in Jerusalem,“ explained Ivaylo.
He added that the army will clear the roads, but the situation is dire.
„There is a group of volunteers who are first responders and they are de facto taking the first line until the army arrives. This is this is a group of people who confronted the terrorists who invaded the settlement. These are heroes,“ said the Bulgarian from Israel.
