Rosgvard pilot fled Russia. After going on holiday with his family in the UAE, he turned himself in to US embassy officials. This was reported by the Telegram channel „The Spy File“.

The serviceman from the aviation squadron of the Russian Guard, senior lieutenant Gavrichenko, received his due leave at the end of September and went on vacation to Dubai. There he went to the US embassy and stated that he was ready to cooperate because he did not want to go to war against Ukraine.

His colleague Anton Vasiliev convinced the pilot to escape.

At the very beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Vasiliev left Russia and moved to Los Angeles. It is now said to be organizing training camps for the Ukrainian military and helping US intelligence.

Currently, the FSB is establishing the circumstances of Gavrichenko’s escape through the UAE: his colleagues are being questioned and their houses are being searched. The FSB believes that it was Anton Vasiliev who convinced Gavrichenko of the need to flee.

There is also information that Russian pilots have been banned from leaving the federation, because the cases of escape are becoming more frequent. Recently, a Russian pilot with a Mi-8 helicopter together with his crew fled to Ukrainian territory. Before that, it was reported that a Russian Tu-160 engineer escaped to the US and promised to cooperate with the Americans. Many of Putin’s soldiers see no point in fighting against Ukraine while the Russian president sits in his bunker.
