See how a Bulgarian sapper neutralizes a drone from the war in Ukraine with his bare hands, a policeman smokes a cigarette and watches

Early this morning, a drone with a bomb was discovered on the coast of Bulgaria near Tyulenovo.

The drone is from the war between Russia and Ukraine.

He reached by water to the rocks in Bulgaria, which is a member of NATO.

The dangerous killing device was neutralized by a sapper in an incredible way.

A disposal specialist strode boldly towards the killing device teetering on the rocks.

This happened in front of a policeman who was smoking a cigarette meters from the bomb.

At one point, the specialist slipped and tumbled into the water, a fountain of frothy water rising up.

However, the operation was successful and the bomb was detonated.

A specialized team of the naval forces blew up the drone found last night near the waters of Tyulenovo.

The defense minister said the aircraft was probably from the war in Ukraine. Against this background, Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov called on the President to convene the National Security Council to determine whether there are any risks for Bulgaria.

On Sunday evening, a hotelier reported seeing a drone in the sea, and the police immediately cordoned off the area. This morning, the Minister of Defense suggested that the Chedron was either Russian or Ukrainian.

„I have preliminary information, which is not final, so I cannot yet say who the drone belongs to and where it came from.

What can certainly be assumed is that it is related to the war that Russia has started against Ukraine.“ Defense Minister Todor Tagarev explained.

5 people from the navy arrived on the scene and within minutes the drone was already defused.

It is estimated that due to its severely damaged condition, moving and transporting the ammunition to a landfill or other suitable disposal site is impossible.

„The Bulgarian Army maintains capacities and teams that can respond to the detection of unexploded ordnance.

This is exactly the case. The risk assessment determined that there was no need to act at night. As this would only put the team at risk, who acts on the case and we act in the daylight,“ added Tagarev.

However, according to the prime minister, it must be decided whether it is necessary to convene a National Security Council.

„We need to see where the drone came from first. It could have fallen somewhere in the sea and then washed ashore. If it turns out that it flew close to our shores, that poses certain risks. Let’s hear from the experts, to have all the information and then we will decide,“ commented Academician Nikolay Denkov.

On the air of Bulgaria ON AIR, an expert explained that it is a mine that is attached to enemy positions.

„Yes, it is dangerous. The drone did not fall in the airspace of Tyulenovo. The water current brought it to the sea shores. Yesterday there was a characteristic coastal current,“ said the expert from „Krile“ magazine Dimitar Stavrev.

According to the initial information of the naval forces, it is a military drone on which an 82 mm ammunition has been placed.
