A bomb-carrying drone reached a NATO country this morning.

The drone floated in the Black Sea off the coast of Tyulenovo in Bulgaria.

The Ministry of Defense issued an official announcement about the drone-bomb found in the cliffs of Tyulenovo.

A drone with an explosive device was discovered on the coast of Tyulenovo. This is reported by users on social networks, announced on BTV. According to their accounts, it is possible that the bomb was still active because there were glowing electronics. People in the area are worried. A sapper team is expected to arrive at the scene.

„At 21.40 last night, a report was made to 112. A kind employee transferred us to a team. Accordingly, they did not react well from there. They approached the report almost with mockery. 21.41 there was already information to police teams and already 9 hours later complete inaction of the institutions. We are waiting for the military to fall asleep, who will eventually remove this thing. Everyone has been notified,“ Radoslav Rusev, who apparently gave the signal, told BTV.

BTV reporter Yordan Fotev was at the scene this morning. „First of all, let me clarify that the police have been here since last night and have cordoned off the area.

The perimeter has been cordoned off and guarded by the police throughout the night. The drone is located somewhere down on the rocks by the sea.

The military is expected to come and do site inspection. After that they will assess how to act – whether the drone is a danger or not. I spoke with a military expert who explained to me that this is a strike drone that can fly up to 300 kilometers, carry a load between 5 and 10 kilograms, it is a warhead. What is attached to it and seen in the pictures is actually a simple mortar mine. How this drone works – it flies to the target when it reaches it or above it, it drops the payload that blows up,“ said Fotev.

A modular munitions disposal formation from the Varna Naval Base was activated early this morning following a report of a found part of a drone with an object resembling ammunition attached to it. The object was discovered this night in the area of the boat dock in Tyulenovo, the press center of the Ministry of Defense announced.

The specialist team of five soldiers left at 6.10am this morning. On site, the specialized team will carry out reconnaissance of the object, after which a decision will be made where to dispose of it.

The servicemen are acting following a request received from the regional governor of the Varna Region and by order of the chief of defense, the announcement also states.

The mayor of Shabla, Marijan Zhechev, revealed what information he has so far about the combat drone found on the coast of Tyulenovo. „Last night around 9:30 p.m. – a signal was sent to 112. From 10:10 p.m. the area was cordoned off so that there would be no casualties on people if something happens to this ammunition that was washed ashore near Tyulenovo.

His general appearance looks dangerous. It is a mine that is mounted on a drone. To reassure the citizens – at least at the moment there is no real danger of this ammunition exploding. The danger was greater when this thing was in the water. For all hard surfaces – for marine vessels or for the beach itself. In view of the bad weather and the great excitement, it is pure luck that this ordnance did not explode at the time. At any moment we expect the authorities responsible in such a situation to arrive. I hope everything will be fine,“ he told BTV.

„My call is for the authorities of the Ministry of Defense and the Border Police to conduct periodic inspections to identify such ammunition. You know that a month ago in the region of Costinesti in Romania, which is only 50-60 kilometers away, a similar mine exploded,“ he added. the mayor of Shabla.

A former interior minister and specialist in explosions explained how many meters the danger from the drone near Tyulenovo is:

There is about half a kilogram of TNT inside. If the mine explodes, the fragments are dangerous 100-200 meters away, even up to 300. According to him, the reaction could have been faster – to take measures already in the evening. „The fact that the area is cordoned off is enough for now. It is not known if the drone has been hit before or if just one touch can detonate it. Experts should detonate it on the spot after securing the perimeter for citizens,“ he said.

Ukrainian Armed Forces: During the night, they managed to shoot down all the missiles fired and most of the Shahed drones.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported in its morning report that the territory of Ukraine was attacked by 24 kamikaze drones and 17 cruise missiles that night, News.bg and BTA reported.

Earlier in the night, there were reports of explosions in the Odesa region, where attacks occur almost every night, as well as in the Khmelnitsky region, where air defenses were active.

In addition to the Shahed attack drones, 17 X-101/X-555/X-55 air-based cruise missiles, launched by a Tu-95MS strategic bomber, also flew over Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian military, he took off from the Volgograd region.
