Sweden’s creepiest hotel attracts horror fans

„There’s a sense of doom here. It’s as if time has stopped, and as dark and cold as it is, there’s a sense of suffocation,“ said a visitor online.

Borgvattnet is a small village in the northeast of the county of Jämtland in northern Sweden. The population is around 65 residents, but the place is quite famous and attracts fans of horror movies.
With the beginning of spring, trips to the more northerly places in Europe increase.
There are places where temperatures hardly exceed 10 degrees even in summer, but they hide incredible secrets hidden among the vast nature of one of the largest countries in Europe – Sweden.
The Scandinavian country is home to wonderful legends and mysteries that have captivated the imagination of travelers for centuries.
Stockholm and Malmö are well known, but trips north are rare and the Swedish north is little known.
However, there lies one of the most mysterious places in this country.
It is about the Vicariate in Borgvatnet.

Residents swear this place is haunted.

Travelers have come here specifically to document strange movements of objects, noises, footsteps, lights.

The eerie house was built two and a half centuries ago and was a home for priests.
Legends abound, and according to stories, there are babies buried in the yard.
Years ago, an exorcist came here to chase away the spirits, but he was unsuccessful and the stories continue.
You can stay in the house if you dare.
The place has been quite visited recently and is actually the biggest attraction in the area.
To get to Borgvatnet in Sweden from Stockholm by public transport, you can use bus or train. You can use the Swedish Railways or Flixbus website to book tickets and view transport timetables.

Borgvattnet, Sweden hotel rates start at $110 per night.
