One of the versions is that it is debris from the missing flight MH370
A mysterious object has washed up on a beach in Australia, causing consternation among locals and authorities. The giant metal cylinder appeared on the beach near Green Head in the west of the country.
Theories about what exactly the ocean threw up immediately appeared on social networks. One theory is that it is debris from Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which disappeared without a trace in 2014. The Boeing 777 with 227 passengers and 12 crew members disappeared from radar an hour after taking off from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
According to aviation experts, however, this is hardly debris from a crashed plane, but rather a piece of a missile that was tested within the last year. An investigation is currently underway to determine exactly what the mysterious object is.
